St. Paul Lutheran School is Hiring a Kindergarten Teacher Near Leavenworth, KS

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our Christian day school PreK 2 1/2 - Grade 8. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and fostering a nurturing learning environment for young students. THE SALARY IS DEPENDENT UPON LEVEL OF EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the kindergarten curriculum
- Create engaging and interactive learning activities to support students' development
- Provide individualized attention to students to support their academic growth
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and behavior
- Utilize learning technology to enhance teaching methods
- Mentor and guide students in their social and emotional development
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- State teaching certification for kindergarten or elementary education
- Proficiency in tutoring students in various subjects including math and literacy
- Experience in childcare, mentoring, or education administration
- Familiarity with library services to promote literacy and reading skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
